Varun Kohli
Chief Marketing Officer
Varun Kohli is the Chief Marketing Officer of GetReal Security, where he leads the company’s global marketing strategy, including brand, demand generation, product marketing, and growth operations. He brings nearly two decades of cybersecurity go-to-market experience, with a track record of category creation, narrative shaping, and driving hypergrowth at both startups and large enterprises.
Varun joined GetReal from Cequence Security, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer and led a global marketing team that helped double annual recurring revenue. Prior to Cequence, he held marketing leadership roles at Symantec/Broadcom, Feedzai, Skycure, ArcSight, IronPort Systems, and CipherTrust, contributing to 10 successful exits across his career. He was named Cybersecurity Marketer of the Year in 2019 and CMO of the Year in 2023, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, NBC’s Today Show, MSNBC, FOX, USA Today, and MarketWatch. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Guwahati, an M.S. in Computer Science from UC Riverside, and pursued Marketing Studies at UC Berkeley.
